Practice Sailing

Once you complete ASA101 or higher, you qualify to be part of the Nockamixon Sailing School Practice Sailing Program. The NSS Practice Sailing Program allows students to practice what they have learned on our Catalina Capri sailboat, in a less structured environment, with a sailing instructor on board. The combination of Nockamixon Sailing School sailing classes and the NSS Practice Sailing Program allows students to develop at their own pace into excellent sailors. The NSS Practice Sailing Program is of interest to the following:

Sailors who have already taken ASA101 or higher from any ASA affiliated sailing school.

Sailors who feel they need additional practice before purchasing their own sailboat, chartering for the first time, or in order to practice before taking the next class in the series.

Basically you sail the boat with an instructor on board who is there to provide instruction on an as needed basis. You decide where to sail and what sailing skills to work on, all under the eye of a capable instructor.

Price- $299/day. Practice one on one with the instructor, or join up with up to two other students to share expenses. Full day minimum.

'Superna' is available for practice sailing on an appointment basis only. Many dates are available.

The Practice Sailing Program is not for people who have never sailed or taken an ASA sailing class. We suggest that those individuals should instead sign up for an ASA sailing class.

Our vessel is not available on a rental basis without a captain on board.
